**Deposit: We require a 25% deposit to hold a puppy until it is
delivered at 8 -12 weeks. Deposit is non-refundable unless puppy fails
vet check. Full payment is due prior to delivery arrangements being
finalized. Please read the provisions listed below before sending
deposit money.
Due to the
increase of internet fraud, and on the advise of legal counsel, we must
require a "Potential Puppy Parent Information Sheet" be filled out and
returned before any deposit can be accepted. We send puppies to
approved homes only. We hope this will not discourage those who truly
want a quality puppy, but encourage you that we are ethical breeders who
are trying to protect our puppies from those who would do them great
harm. Please request an information sheet prior to sending a
deposit.
**Costs: The fee for each puppy is based on the gender of the
puppy and whether he/she is pet quality or potential show quality. Full
payment is due before the puppy is delivered. We offer a variety of ways
to get your puppy to you. We will be happy to supply you with our list
of delivery options. At times the price of each puppy may include
all delivery costs within the continental United States. We do not
deliver puppies outside the USA. For Canadian families we can
deliver to New York, Detroit or Seattle, and for our Puerto Rican
families we can deliver to Florida.
Every precaution has been taken to insure that your puppy is healthy.
All sales are considered initiated, transacted and finalized in Stone
County, Arkansas. We will send you two signed copies of the contract.
Please sign & return our copy of the contract, along with the first vet
visit receipt. Signed contract & vet visit receipt must be received by
BBCK within 15 days of receipt of puppy, or guarantee will be null &
void. Guarantee will be null and void if the terms and conditions are
not fulfilled.
The contract will contain the following provisions:
Provisions: Buyer Responsibilities:
**You, the buyer, assume all responsibility for the puppy (medical or
otherwise) once it leaves BBCK.
**You agree to have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within
72 hours of delivery and should provide regular preventative care such
as, but not limited to, annual physical exams, and follow veterinarian
guidelines for vaccinations and deworming.
**You agree to give the puppy special attention during it's readjustment
period. Small puppies can develop low blood sugar while enroute to your
home, as a result of stress, not eating, and moving to a new
environment.
**A suggestion: If you should notice the pup being slow and comatose,
give it syrup, sugar water or some other sweet supplement such as Nutri-Cal.
Never give the puppy milk. The puppy is as a newborn baby. Care should
be given not to expose it to strange dogs or crowds. Caution should be
used in selecting where it goes outside. Two deadly diseases, Parvo and
Distemper can stay in the soil for seven years. (While traveling with
our dogs, we never "walk" them in the "doggie areas".)
**You will assume all responsibility for spaying/neutering/breeding if
puppy is not spayed-neutered before leaving BBCK,
**You agree to inform BBCK if it becomes necessary to sell or otherwise
place this puppy. You agree to give BBCK first option to repurchase
puppy before any placement action is taken.
Provisions: Breeder's Responsibilities:
**If, within the first 72 hours, your vet identifies a "health issue"
which clearly the puppy obtained at our facility, we will refund the
purchase price of the puppy. Buyer must return original puppy, with a
written report from vet and all registration papers, to breeder within
48 hours of notifying the breeder. Shipping costs will not be refunded.
**Big Branch Creek Kennel ensures that all shots and wormings are
up-to-date for each puppy and guarantees that the puppy will be free
from any communicable disease for a period of 10 days from date of sale.
**If, within the first year, a qualified veterinarian detects a
congenital disorder, that would severely impair the dog's quality of
life, a second opinion should be sought from a different vet, and both
written reports sent to the breeder. If breeder's vet concurs, buyer may
return puppy (with all registration paperwork) for a replacement puppy,
upon availability. Puppy must be returned within 48 hours of
notification by breeder. No puppy will be replaced if said puppy has
been bred, spayed or neutered.
**There are certain disorders that may be caused by environmental
factors, stress and/or care of the puppy, i.e.: starvation, illness due
to injury, hyperglycemia (sugar shock) allergies, thyroid dysfunction,
demodectic mange, and other autoimmune disorders that are not covered by
this guarantee. BBCK does not guarantee any health related issues or
loss of life due to reactions caused by vaccinations or flea/tick
preparations.
**We take great pride that our handpicked dogs are well socialized and
well cared for so they can produce the same wonderful puppies that can
be shared with other families. BBCK guarantees a healthy companion
puppy, but does not guarantee adult size, color, temperament or fitness
for breeding or showing.
**Delivery: Prior to delivery, each puppy will receive a health
check from our licensed vet. We use a variety of ways to transport your
puppy to you, agreeable to both of us. (Ask about our
delivery options.) Buyer incurs all delivery expenses. You may
also pick up your puppy and save delivery costs. Your puppy will be
delivered to you in a new crate (if you are using delivery option #3) &
with a new puppy packet. The new puppy packet includes vet check
certificate, health record, personalized puppy booklet, bag of food,
chew toy with mother's scent, & information on how to care for your
puppy.
The puppy's registration paperwork (UABR, APRI or AKC) will be sent to
you after your puppy arrives safely.
